Publisher’s Message—20 Years of Publishing Bariatric Times

| January 1, 2023

A message from Robert Dougherty, Publisher of Bariatric Times and President of Matrix Medical Communications in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

Dear Readers,

We are extremely excited to announce that 2023 marks the 20th year of publishing excellence for Bariatric Times (BT). Over the past 20 years, BT has become a leading voice in the metabolic and bariatric market, and during this time, a community of over 12,000 unique readers has been built around the journal.

On behalf of the editorial and publishing staff, I would like to thank Raul Rosenthal, MD, Founding Clinical Editor, and Clinical Editors Christopher Still, DO; John Morton, MD; Jennifer Seger, MD; Rich Peterson, MD; and Tracy Martinez, RN, CBN, for their editorial guidance and continued dedication. Additionally, thank you to our esteemed editorial advisory board for the commitment to peer review, industry partners for advertising support, and you, our readers, in helping BT achieve this milestone. Collectively, you are all what makes BT happen.

Surely by now you have noticed a significant change in the size of BT. In an effort to reduce paper consumption, the tabloid format has been redesigned to a standard size journal. We hope you enjoy the new format; it’s easier to store for future reference. BT will continue to strive for editorial excellence and recognition as a leading resource for timely clinical information and market trends. Please be on the lookout for new columns and features introduced throughout the year.

BT is designed for you—healthcare professionals dedicated to treating patients with obesity and metabolic disorders. Your feedback regarding the journal, suggestions for topics, and article submissions are all welcome. To provide comments, offer a suggestion, or discuss the industry, please don’t hesitate to contact me ([email protected]) and/or Austin Vitelli, Managing Editor ([email protected])

Thanks again to all for your support of BT and best wishes for a happy and healthy 2023!

Sincerely,

Robert Dougherty
