Dear Readers,

I am writing this final editorial message for Bariatric Times with mixed emotions. It has been 19 years since I first met Robert Dougherty at the Annual Clinical Congress of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) in San Diego. We discussed my interest in starting a journal/magazine dedicated to highlighting important topics in the field of obesity and bariatric surgery. Since then, this magazine has grown to become the voice for those who have not been able to express themselves in traditional review journals or social media.

I believe that BT has filled an important void, and I hope that we will find a way to continue addressing important issues related to the treatment of severe obesity. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to all the editors who have contributed to the magazine, such as Chris Still, DO; John Morton, MD; and Richard Peterson, MD. I also want to thank the hardworking editorial team of BT for their efforts in publishing a top-notch magazine.

I would like to take this moment to wish you all a happy holiday season.

Sincerely,

Raul Rosenthal, MD, FACS, FASMBS
